The newest partnership of Vision Marine is with the well-known energy and automation company GE Power Conversion. It has arrived so that, together with our Training Centre, we can invest in simulators, infrastructure and content.

WHO IS GE?

Known for its investment and expertise in energy and automation systems in the maritime sector, GE has extensive experience in dynamic positioning systems.

Its history with the DP system begins in the 1970s and, since then, more than 950 systems have been built, from the simplest models to those with the greatest redundancy.

Beyond the well-known quality of the equipment it produces, its investment in training keeps growing. It is in order to serve that better that this partnership was signed.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT?

GE offers its customers an intuitive, operational human-machine interface. Its consoles are modern and ergonomic, with graphics that are easy to understand and operate.

It also has a complete offering across all its services: training, commissioning, maintenance, remote monitoring and diagnostics, repairs, overhauls, among others.

Its equipment is used worldwide and all the support offered by GE is worldwide as well.

WHAT WILL CHANGE AT OUR TRAINING CENTRE?

With the new partnership, we will be able to improve our training more and more. New simulators and software will give our students training that is even closer to the equipment on board, and familiarisation with the system of a manufacturer renowned in the maritime industry.

As a partner channel of GE Power Conversion, besides the improvements to our existing courses, such as Basic DP (Induction Course) and Advanced DP (Simulator Course), it will also be possible to introduce new training, such as DP Maintenance and much more.

OUR DP COURSES

Vision Marine Training continues to run its DP courses in both classroom and online formats. Our training carries international certification accredited by The Nautical Institute, the global body responsible for validating Training Centres for the Merchant Navy. Whether your background is deck or engine, we have a team of instructors with extensive sea-going experience and the teaching skills needed to deliver your training in Basic DP, DP Technical, Advanced DP and all the other courses.
