1. Purpose
This Policy describes the use of cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage, pixels and device identifiers, on the Digital Platform of Vision Marine Nautical Training Center Ltda. ("VMT"), comprising the addresses visionmarinetraining.com.br and visionmarinetraining.com and their subdomains. It forms part of the Privacy and Data Protection Policy (LGPD) and should be read together with it.
Cookies are small files stored in the user's browser or device, which make it possible to keep the session active, record preferences and measure the use of the Platform.
2. Categories used
| Category | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Authentication, session maintenance, security, fraud prevention, language selection, cookie preferences, cart and payment flow | Not required |
| Functional | Non-essential convenience features, such as remembering display preferences | Required |
| Analytics | Audience measurement, traffic source and browsing behaviour, for evaluating and improving the Platform | Required |
| Advertising and campaigns | Campaign measurement, conversion attribution, personalised communication and recovery of incomplete purchases | Required |
2.1. Necessary cookies cannot be disabled, as doing so would make the Platform unusable. They are based on article 7, V and IX, of Law No. 13,709/2018.
2.2. Functional, analytics and advertising cookies are only activated after the user's consent (article 7, I, of Law No. 13,709/2018).
3. Consent and preferences
3.1. On first access, the Platform displays a banner with equivalent options to accept and reject non-essential cookies, as well as configuration by category. Until the user expresses a choice, only necessary cookies are loaded.
3.2. Consent may be reviewed or withdrawn at any time, as easily as it was given, in the preference centre permanently available in the footer of the Platform.
3.3. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing and may reduce non-essential functionality.
3.4. VMT records the date, time, version of this Policy and categories accepted, as evidence of consent (article 8, paragraph 2, of Law No. 13,709/2018).
3.5. The user may additionally block or delete cookies in their browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies prevents access to the student area, to the corporate client area and to the completion of purchases.
4. List of cookies
The cookies used by the Platform fall within the categories described in item 2. As to duration, there are session cookies, deleted when browsing ends, and persistent cookies, kept for a set period that varies according to the purpose and origin of each one. The user may request, at any time, information about the cookies in use, their purposes, origin and expiry periods, through privacidade@visionmarinetraining.com.
5. Third party cookies and international transfers
Suppliers engaged by VMT may set their own cookies when performing functions on the Platform, subject to the purposes determined by VMT and to contractual confidentiality and security obligations. Any international transfers arising from those cookies follow the mechanisms described in the Privacy and Data Protection Policy (LGPD).
6. Updates and contact
This Policy is updated whenever there is a relevant change in the cookies used, with a new version and date indicated. The introduction of a non-essential category is preceded by an update to this Policy and by a new request for consent.
