What you will learn:

  • Human Factors and Regulatory Fundamentals — People/Equipment/Management system, the 12 human factors, Challenger Case and Swiss Cheese Model, applicable standards (NR-34 item 34.11, NBR 6494, NBR 14718) and ANSI/ASSE A10.8-2011 terminology
  • Accessories, Sizing and Documentation — Scaffold assembly accessories (couplers, sleeve joints, ratchet wrenches) with torque specifications, guardrail parameters (NR-34: 70 cm and 1.20 m), and documentation flow via Work Permit and Scaffold Release Tag
  • Weather Risks, Work on Scaffolds and Dismantling — Restrictions for winds above 40 km/h, mandatory double-lanyard harness per NR-35/NR-34, and critical safe dismantling procedures
  • Responsibilities, Anchoring and Emergency — Supervisor's legal responsibilities (items 34.11.14.1 and 34.11.25), anchoring systems per NR-35 Annex 2 and NBR 16325, structural stress analysis and emergency management for suspension trauma
  • Theoretical Assessment — Written assessment covering regulatory content, accessory rejection criteria and NR-34 procedures taught in the 16 theoretical hours
  • Field Practice: Field Supervision and Material Inspection — Physical inspection of dimensional templates and application of rejection criteria for tubes, couplers and structural accessories
  • Field Practice: Structural Assembly and Torque Verification — Base plate and sole board placement, diagonal bracing installation, torque verification with ratchet wrenches and advanced bracing
  • Field Practice: Platform Audit and Documentation — Visual audit of assembled platforms, issuance of Work Permit/PRA and posting of the Scaffold Release Tag on the structure

Professionals appointed by the employer to supervise the erection, dismantling, inspection and release of industrial scaffolding.
